Overview:
BeWell Screeners provide health screenings for eligible faculty and staff as well as their spouses and registered domestic partners participating in the BeWell@Stanford Employee Incentive Program. Screeners work closely with the Manager and Program Coordinator of BeWell Screening and Advising team as well as the Wellness Advisors and other Screeners. It is vital that events are professional, that health information is accurate and secure, and that participants are satisfied with their experience.
This is a part-time non-benefited position with BeWell@Stanford hired under the Health Improvement Program, Stanford Prevention Research Center.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in health related field preferred

Current CPR and First Aid certifications – current or willing to quickly re-certify

Demonstrated proficiency in performing biometric assessments, blood pressure, waist circumference, height & weight measurements or the equivalent

Finger stick experience preferred

Basic understanding of health screening results

Excellent communication skills, reliable and professional

Works well individually and as part of a team, and maintains an upbeat, positive attitude
Responsibilities:

Assists with screening event activities by loading/unloading supplies, transporting equipment, setting-up screening sites, organizing screening materials and handouts, and taking everything down at the end of the shift (includes moving of tables and chairs in some locations)

Shows up on-time: most shifts are from 6:30 am – 12:00 pm

Greets and obtains informed consent from participants

Performs health screening assessments – finger stick procedure (total cholesterol, HDL, glucose), height, weight, waist circumference, and blood pressure adhering to a set protocol

Maintains participant confidentiality and complies with HIPAA guidelines

Assists with data-entry

Travels to screening events on campus and to satellite sites

Attends a mandatory monthly screeners meeting

Miscellaneous special projects and duties as assigned
